Top ten Mitt Romney solutions to our problems

On Facebook this morning, I took a jab at Obama saying: "What do you think will be talked about more today: (1) The controversial Seahawk touchdown or (2) that as the foreign heads of state were gathering for the United Nations convention, the Obama's went on The View?" See Dana Milbank's article here.

(I really should of jabbed the NFL refs as well. Oh well, next time.)

For the sake of being fair, here's a jab for Mitt as well (and no I'm not crossing sports references). Check out Juan Cole's top ten Mitt Romney solutions to our problems.

Around the Horn

Just a couple of videos for this weeks around the horn. Y'all don't want to read anything anyways. But you might want to help me write a story (see below).

- Watch this lady from Code Pink speak out against U.S. use of drone warfare. What do you think? (via Juan Cole). He also posted this piece on the drone question.

- You need to spend some time with Jean Vanier. What a great video!

- A movie I will see, likely in the theater (that's a big deal for people with little gremlins, I mean, kids).

- Let's have some fun, yeah? I'll give you the first line of a story and you give me the next. Keep adding on to what others write and we'll see where it takes us: "As he rounded the corner, he knew that one thing was for sure: he would never do that again." What's happens next?

Around the Horn

Juan Cole lists his own Top 10 Green Energy Good News Stories.

James K. A. Smith offers a minor push-back against studies on why young people are leaving the church.

Bob Hyatt offers a middle-ground on the same-sex marriage debate (via Tony Jones).

I really like this picture of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Andrew Jones is grumpy towards contemporary worship songs.

Jon Arbuckle is fascinated with his hand.

Around the Horn...

Check out Jamie Smith's open letter to "worship leaders." Phew! A good and sobering word to churches who are a little to preoccupied with their music.

Also, check out Juan Cole's post.  A picture of U.S interventions in the world since World War II. Also sobering, in another kind of way.

And lastly, (this website is brilliant), Awkward Campaign Photos. One old lady was starring at me while I was laughing out loud in Panera. Thanks, Doug Harrison, for facebooking this!
